Sunrise is a planned community that began development in the 1980′s. Over the years neighborhoods of single family homes and condos have been added to this South Hill community, some with amazing views of Mount Rainier.
With a network of sidewalks, trails, open spaces, bike paths, and recreational facilities- Sunrise is designed for people with active lifestyles and is pedestrian friendly. Recently Sunrise Village (a commercial center with major retailers like Target) opened to serve this growing community.
In September of 2000, Emerald Ridge High School opened to serve the students of Sunrise and the surrounding community.
