It’s competitive racing like you’ve never seen it before!  Dozens of tiny wiener dogs racing for prizes and glory to round of the end of Puyallup’s Oktoberfest Celebration!  If you’ve never attended a wiener dog race, get ready to have your heart melt from the sheer cuteness of it all!

Wiener Dog Races will be held this year at the Puyallup Fair on October 9th, 2011.  Starting at noon dozens and dozens of energetic wiener dogs will compete in events that showcase their speed and cleverness.  The number of qualifying races will depend on the number of wiener dogs registered.  The winners of the semi-finals will compete in one final race held around 5pm. The list of rules is extensive, so read them before game day.

In addition the races, there will be costume contests and a wiener dog costume parade.  Day of event registration is $15 for the races and $10 for the costume contests (per dog).  Register online and save $3, online registration closes September 30th.  Pre-Registration does not give you an earlier spot in the races, dogs are checked in as they arrive. Registering ahead of time simply saves you a few dollars and gives the organizers an idea of how many dogs will be coming.

Whether you think your own wiener dog has what it takes to be a champion or you just want to see the sight of dozens of adorable pups running for glory, this Downtown Puyallup Event is not to be missed!
